It applies to organisations of any size and it stipulates the requirements to establish, manage and improve their energy efficiency and consumption.

This standard is upheld by both Naftrán and Cringás through a Management System that we have established to manage and improve the energy efficiency and consumption of the two divisions.

The ISO 50001 standard represents a major step forward as the organisation is required to demonstrate its commitment by improving its energy performance. Quantitative targets are not specified, instead Naftrán will select the goals, and then it will come up with an action plan to achieve these goals. With this structured approach, our company is more likely to see the tangible financial benefits.
